上野観光連盟について

The Ueno Tourism Federation is a tourism organization whose mission is to improve the accessibility of Ueno Park and its shopping district. Since the postwar Ueno Shosei-kai (1947), the organization has played a role in connecting the park and the city to the present day. It promotes a variety of projects to ensure that visitors to Ueno can spend a fun and happy time. To date, the organization has carried out activities to enhance the appeal of Ueno as a whole, such as planting cherry blossoms and azaleas in Ueno Park, creating a pedestrian zone, and lighting up Benten-do. The two major events, the Ueno Sakura Festival and the Ueno Summer Festival, are famous nationwide as seasonal sights of Ueno.
